Rio (Opened in Theaters April 15th) – The creators of Ice Age have a special treat for the kids with the infamous squirrel making an appearance in a short clip just before the animated adventure film, Rio. Blue, (voice of Jesse Eisenberg) a domesticated, cowardly McCaw who never learned to fly is living a plush life in Minnesota with his companion Linda (voice of Lisa Mann). Friends with benefits is the phrase for people who want to have sex with no attachments and it’s the basic premise for the romantic-comedy No Strings Attached. At a time when it seems like movie trailers give away the best parts of films, I don’t think the trailer of this movie gives it justice. This is a gripping film with emotional dialogue, engaging scenes, and most of all we have a real attachment to the characters. Ben Affleck’s acting is fantastic but even more impressive, was his direction of this movie. Although I am blind, I can appreciate a good movie as well as sighted individuals. I rely more on a good story line than special effects. Based on the 1996 short story titled “Baster” by Jeffrey Eugeniges, is the charming romantic comedy The Switch staring Jennifer Aniston & Jason Bateman. Tim Conrad (Paul Rudd) is an executive at Fender Financial and his boss, Lance Fender (Bruce Greenwood) invites him to an exclusive dinner party. At this dinner, company executives have to bring one special guest who is so weird that at the end of the night, one of them will be voted the biggest idiot. Tim is reluctant but really wants a promotion and he lucks out when he meets I.R.S. employee, Barry Speck (Steve Carell). In 1995, Pixar Animation and Disney Studios teamed up to tell their first story about talking toys and 15 years later with one only installment in-between, most of the toys are back in, Toy Story 3.
